Our Staff
Our staff have a wide range of experience in child care. All members of staff are fully qualified and are passionate about providing the best possible childcare and eduction to each and every individual child.

Steph Barker
Carly is the manager of the setting. She is the mother of 3 girls who all attended the playschool. Carly became involved by becoming a member of the committee and helping with the day to day running of the setting. Whilst volunteering she gained her Level 3 in Childcare, Learning and Development and subsequently her Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Children's Care, Learning and Development. Carly was a volunteer in the setting for 7 years, working with children with Additional Learning Needs and completing administration, before becoming the manager in September 2015. Carly achieved highly commended Early Years practitioner of the year 2019, in the Early Years Wales national awards.
Nikki is also a mother of 3 children, two boys and a girl. Nikki has been working for the playgroup for over 20 years. She is qualified with level 3 in Children's Care and Education. She has lots of experience in child care and education, through her own experiences and through the setting. Nikki became involved in the setting when her eldest started in the playgroup and all her children have attended the setting over the years.
Steph has been with the setting for the past 8 years. She is a mother of two children, who have both attended the nursery. She became involved with the setting whist her children were attending, helping out. She is Cache level 2 in Children's Learning qualified and Level 3 Child Care, Learning and Development.
Laura Barker
Laura has been with the playgroup for the 13 years. Before this she came to the setting for work experience whilst completing her Level 3 and level 5 in Childcare, Learning and Development. Laura has one child who attended playschool , but also has plenty of nieces and nephews so has lots of personal experience as well as professional!
